Setup families
Tight-pivot breakouts, gap-ups, breakaway gaps, shakeout reclaims and young-IPO candidates. Each stock must meet EMA10 > EMA20 > EMA50, liquidity and high-proximity criteria. The scanner evaluates a prior strong advance, consolidation and final tightness. EMA21 is chart context. Thresholds are configurable research defaults, not a guarantee.
Entry and risk
Signals confirm after the daily close. Entry and 4% stop on the setup screen are signal-close references, not assumed fills. Structural pivot-low risk is shown separately and flagged above 4%. Below-10-EMA closes on active references generate a partial-profit review warning, without assuming a quantity, breakeven move or extra trailing exit.
System backtest
Historical signals use only then-available candles. Model entries occur at the following open with adverse slippage. Default stop-and-alert mode does not invent a full exit. Optional 20/60-session exits are explicitly hypothetical research comparisons. Trades at sample boundaries remain censored. Current constituents have survivorship bias; this is not a capital-constrained portfolio simulation.
Data and adjustments
Original NSE reports are preserved. Verified splits, bonuses and consolidations adjust historical OHLC and inversely adjust volume; cash dividends are excluded. Unsupported corporate actions, missing sessions and unexplained jumps require review. EMA screening needs 150 continuous sessions. IPO ages use official listing dates, never the first CSV row.
